Visit of a lecturer from Portugal

Last week our university, as part of the Erasmus+ program, hosted lecturer Jorge Arede from the university: The Institute Polytechnic of Viseu in Portugal.

He conducted a guest lecture for physiotherapy majors and also a public scientific and methodological seminar for both students and staff on talent identification and the most important aspects of player potential development in team sports. The lecturer is the author of many scientific and methodological publications on this subject.

His experience in training and coaching is very extensive. He became a basketball coach in 2005, and then His experience only expanded. He had the opportunity to work in different clubs, both in Portugal and abroad and holds a Level II degree, as well as various certifications in strength and conditioning. He was the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Portuguese Under-16 National Men's Team and a tutor for coaching interns of different levels.

It's worth to mention tha He is also a founding member of the Portuguese Association of Basketball Strength and Conditioning Coaches.
